A River Runs Through, Pt. III
(2022, Revisited)
Two years went by since my last visit in this area, and I had hoped for another chance to photograph. Unfortunately, as I travelled the weather didn’t look good to catch some mist (still, it was usually to warm and windy). The day before, I was not close but as I checked the forecast another time it had changed and there was actually a chance. I thought about it, and decided to give it a try. I arrived in the night, and didn’t wanted to look out of the window the whole night since I was to afraid to be disappointed once again if there shouldn’t be any fog. Next morning, to my surprise there really was fog (weather forecast was kind of wrong the whole trip before and after). Truth is, the silence in the night had told it anyway. During dawn, I sticked to my favourite area of this forest first. At the other area, many photographers had showed up (too much for my taste). It was Saturday, and I missed 2020. Now and then, wind came up and made many shots impossible due to small branches and the foliage then turning blurry. As the fog lifted slightly soon after, I went to another location I had in mind. It turned out to be a very wise decision. Not only the conditions there were good enough, also not any other photographer was around. A series regarding this other location will follow likely.

As beautiful as this forest is, when visiting I had the feeling that I have already drifted apart from it, looking for new challenges. Also, I should have stayed more in the area I went in first, and ignoring the other areas with the photographers. Anyway, if you like to see the results from two years ago, check the links below.
